Our Story of Faith
and Perseverance
"We would like to share with you a deeply moving story marked by faith, perseverance, and challenges overcome through God’s love and grace.
My journey with God began even before I was born. My mother, Jacqueline, faced serious complications during pregnancy and delivery. At just three days old, I underwent emergency surgery. The doctors told my parents that I wouldn't survive due to severe infections and cerebral palsy. However, God had different plans for me.
During my childhood, due to the consequences of cerebral palsy, I underwent another surgery at the age of 3 and had physical therapy until I was 18. Each day was a battle, but also a miracle, highlighting the mercy of the Lord.
When I was still young, after a lesson at the church I attended, I remember hearing about Jesus' love for me, how He died on the cross and resurrected on the third day. I understood the verse from John 3:16, 'For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.' I prayed, giving my heart to Jesus, and told my father about the decision I had made. He explained to me the importance of that decision. It has been a long journey of experiences with God.
As a young man, during a missionary trip, I met Diane, who became the love of my life and my wife. Together, we built our life: I graduated in Marketing, completed an MBA in Behavioral Economics at ESPM, had a business, and she, a physiotherapist, earned a master's and doctorate in gerontology and now works as the coordinator of the Physiotherapy program at Unifacid. We were blessed with two wonderful children: Rafael, 4 years old, and Olívia, 1 year old. God transformed our lives in a way only He could."
In 2022, I felt a strong calling in my heart to serve the Lord more fully. My father, Roberto, wisely affirmed this by saying, 'I knew this would happen, for God kept you alive for a special purpose since your birth.'
With unwavering support from my wife, family, church, and friends, I decided to follow this call. After much prayer and counsel, I chose to step away from my business career at some point soon to prepare at a theological seminary. I am determined to fulfill the mission the Lord has for me, assisting leaders, churches, and mission agencies."
Our Dream and Project
INITIAL COSTS: The cost of studies for the first year is $7,301.96, with an annual rent, totaling 12 installments of $608.00, excluding other basic expenses (some expenses will begin in January 2025). (current quote, this value may vary due to exchange rate changes)
FIRST STEP: Our initial step is to find sponsors to help us reach this amount.
COUNTERPARTY: We will provide updates on our academic development and family progress, aiming to bless those who support us with our professional training or materials we will have access to.
CHANGE: If God allows, we will move to Atibaia-SP in February 2025 and start studies in March 2025.
CHALLENGES: The apartment we will move into is unfurnished, so we need to sell some items to acquire similar ones for the seminary apartment provided for our family.
The Wonders God Has Done
In addition to being accepted into the seminary, we have secured an apartment for our family within the Palavra da Vida Condominium. This option is more affordable than renting in Atibaia and provides a safer environment, along with cost savings in other areas.
We have managed to rent our current apartment in Teresina, and the rental income will help subsidize our new home.

FAQ
How long will the seminary last?
The Palavra da Vida Bible Seminary in the Bachelor of Theology course lasts 4 years. (until 2028)
Can I make payments via recurring deposit?
Yes, you can. We are happy to make any contributions you wish. If it would be better to make payments via recurring deposit, just let us know so we can organize them. We have an account in an American bank where we can receive payments in dollars. We are grateful for any help.
What are the classes like?
The Seminary operates full-time (morning and afternoon) from Monday to Friday. Weekends are dedicated to family and support at the local church.
I make a donation by credit card. How do I identify it on my invoice?
If you chose credit card as your payment method, your donation will be processed and will be debited monthly from your credit card. The date of the charge may vary, but it will always appear on your invoice next to the description “AMORIM FAMILY” and the reference month, with the amount in Dolar ($).
Can you work outside the seminary?
We can, but the Seminary itself does not recommend it due to the high amount of content to study, and since it is full-time. The ideal time to spend the evening with family is ideal.
How do I cancel my recurring card payment?
